Retail Space — Vendor Terms & Conditions

Thank you for applying to join Retail Space. Retail Space is created to support local brands, makers, and small businesses by providing a professional retail environment to showcase and sell their products. By joining Retail Space, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Acceptance, Rental Fee & Bond
- Approved vendors receive an invoice to secure their space.
- A 2-week security bond is required before starting.
- Rental is billed every 2 weeks per your billing cycle.
- Overdue payments trigger reminders. >7 days unpaid triggers staff contact.
- Unpaid fees may result in product removal & storage.
- Outstanding fees/damages may be deducted from the bond.
2. Rental Term & Notice Period
- Flexible rental arrangement.
- 2 weeks written email notice required to leave.
- Notice period begins at next billing cycle.
3. Commission & Sales
- All sales processed via Retail Space POS.
- 15% commission on all sales.
- Vendors cannot process separate in-store payments.
4. Vendor Payment
- Payouts follow Retail Space payment cycles.
- Deductions: 15% commission, rental fees, processing fees, outstanding charges.
- Sales reports provided to vendors.
5. Product Display & Presentation
- Vendors maintain clean, organized, well-stocked, professional spaces.
- Low stock triggers restock requests.
- Products must stay within allocated shelf/rack zones.
6. Restocking, Pricing & Labels
- Restock during approved hours only.
- All items must have clear pricing & labels before display.
- Missing/incorrect labels delay sales availability.
7. Product Requirements
- Safe, compliant with Australian laws, no IP infringement, match approved categories.
- Retail Space reserves right to refuse unsuitable products.
8. Product Quality & Customer Issues
- Vendors responsible for product quality, safety, & accuracy.
- Retail Space facilitates dispute resolution fairly.
- Refunds/returns not automatic if vendor standards are met.
9. Second-Hand / Pre-Loved Items
- Must be excellent condition, clean, professionally presented, ~80%+ new.
- Non-compliant items will be rejected.
10. Damage, Theft & Insurance
- Products displayed at vendor's own risk.
- Retail Space not liable for theft, damage, loss, or value reduction.
- Vendors encouraged to carry insurance.
11. Safety
- Displays must not block access or create hazards.
- Electrical items must meet Australian safety standards.
12. Leaving Retail Space
- All stock collected by agreed end date.
- Uncollected items incur storage fees or are removed after notice.
13. Agreement
By joining Retail Space, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
